Birding in the center on México

In the center of Mexico we have two main endemism areas, the temprate forest of the Transvolcanic Belt and the tropical deciduous forest in the lowlands of the Balsas Basin (Morelos).

In the highlands we can search for Endemic birds like: Green-striped Brushfinch, Red Warbler, Long-tailed Wood-Partridge, Blue Mockingbird and some of the most restricted birds to the center of Mexico are: Strickland's Woodpecker and Sierra Madre Sparrow.

In the lowlands we can find endemics like: Golden Vireo, Rusty-crowned Ground-Sparrow, Golden-cheeked Woodpecker and the most restricted endemics to the center of Mexico like the Banded Quail among others.
